The goal of Camp is to provide the best technical running camp for junior high and high school runners as well as interested adult runners to help each camper achieve his or her fullest potential. My aim is to produce the complete runner-mentally, physically and spiritually.

What Coaches Have to Say:

The Jim Ryun Running Camp was an incredible experience for my team and for me as well. The instruction athletes received was exceptional and as a coach, it validated our current program initiatives while providing enriching material to add to our program. My athletes enjoyed the camp tremendously and benefited from their experience in many ways. They made lasting friendships with peers who have common interests, participated in training exercises as well as fun games and activities, and came away with a greater sense of themselves as runners, but also as children of God. The Ryun family and the counselors are amazing and provided a wonderful balance of fun, work, learning and growth. Thank you to all the Ryuns and the staff for devoting their time and talents to developing athletes who are strong in mind, body and spirit.
— Coach Laura Daniels, Auburn High School (Virginia)
I have made the Jim Ryun Running Camp a part of my program at San Juan Hills High School. Though the Camp is good for runners of all ages and experience levels, I am particularly focusing on getting my upcoming captains and experienced runners to attend. This is so important that I work to raise scholarship money for those who attend; working with the Ryun Camp we make it possible for the kids to be there.
— Coach Bob Price, San Juan Hills High School (California)
The Jim Ryun Running Camp truly stands alone and unparalleled in the opportunity and environment it provides for runners—young or old, competitors or coaches—to improve not only in regards to running, but also and more importantly, in terms of the whole being—spiritual, mental, and physical. Each and every day, the Camp staff, comprised of exceptional leaders and counselors, address all three of those components, and they do so intentionally through powerful and meaningful examples that are set and lived out and through relationships that are built by the staff with all those at the Camp.
— Coach Dave Riden, Deer Creek High School (Oklahoma)
I just want to reiterate again how much I appreciate the work you are doing. Not just with running but really serving as ministers of the Gospel. It’s evident that you pray fervently and the Lord answers with the provisions He has granted to you. The counselors were a blessing. I wish more coaches could experience what I have been able to experience by being there. The only deficiency in your camp is that it’s too extraordinary to put into words!! So I know these kids are going to have a tough time articulating what they have experienced. You are a blessing to these young people, and you are certainly a blessing to me!! If I can help in any way with your ministry, please let me know. I would love to see more coaches at the camps observing (and participating!) so they could take not only the training back but the missional philosophy as well. God bless both of you for your great service to His Kingdom!!

— Coach Jason Ingle, Asheville Christian Academy
